More and more people these days are turning to witchcraft, paganism and wiccan spiritual practices as more meaningful and inclusive forms of religion. Since the printing of Gerald Gardner’s Witchcraft Today, thousands have discovered the power it can have.
Although we live in a highly modernized, technological world, the ancient wisdom and knowledge that is imparted through witchcraft is still relevant today, if in fact even more so, since it is a peaceful, inclusive and deeply conscious tradition, that reveres the earth and earthly cycles. In this day and age, which is dominated by war and wanton environmental destruction, witchcraft offers a gentle nonviolent alternative way of making sense of our world. Read the rest of this entry »

Who hates Monday mornings? I’ve been working in my current job now for almost 8 years and this morning i have woken in a bit of a bad mood contemplating another groundhog day in my dead-beat job, and i need to seriously get off my ass and do something about it.
A couple of years ago i had aspirations of working for myself and carving out a living on my own. I started out on a plumbing course where i eventually qualified last year. I am finding it a bit difficult at the moment trying to find work as the majority of plumbing companies either don’t want to pay the wages or don’t want to take anybody on with no experience.
I think i’m going to have to get my own van and have a go at starting out on my own; i’ll probably do evening and weekend work for a while and then do it full-time if and when things become more busy, i just need to have the bottle and the courage to go out and do it as i’m just rotting here at the moment in my current job and writing this blog is the only thing keeping me sane at the moment.

Story on Sky News are stating that upto 750,000 people in China are dying every year from heavy pollution due to its uncontrollable economic growth and its mass-neglect for its own environment.
The article also tells how former village fishermen turned environmentalists are afraid to speak out about the pollution as local government officials threaten to arrest them - and countries such as ours (UK) and other western countries are still clamouring to trade with China, unbelievable!!!

Just thought i would leave a pleasant image for the weekend - Heart-kun the puppy Chihuahua, born with a natural heart shape pattern on his coat and the new rising star in Japan, his owner Emiko Sakurada has said that he has brought luck to many of his visitors.

I don’t like to mention politics but i thought i would put this under the Good News Day
section; the US House of Representatives has passed a bill for most of all of US combat troops to be pulled out of Iraq by April 2008; this is good news for all the families of the troops that are currently there and also for the troops themselves, which in my opinion should not have been there in the first place.
I hope Mr Bush comes to his senses and does not veto the legislation for the sake of the families of the troops and the brave men and women that are still fighting there.
